Coventry ranked 39th best student city in the world

Coventry is also fifth in the UK

Coventry has been named the 39th best city in the world to be a student, in the latest annual QS Survey.

Coventry, home to Warwick University and Coventry University, is also one of the top five student cities in the UK.

The QS Best Student Cities Index is based on six categories, which include: Student Mix; Desirability; Employer Activity; Affordability and a new category for 2017 called Student View, based on a survey of students and recent graduates around the world.

This result means that Coventry has improved by five places since last year. The survey pointed to the Warwick Arts Centre, and Coventry’s active student life for its success.

When asked to name the best thing about studying in Coventry, one respondent said: Ease of access in walking to places, friendliness of student community.”

The ranking follows the news of Warwick graduates being named as the most sought after by top graduate employers.
