If you’re staying on campus, look out for these festive events


If you aren’t able to go home during the Christmas vacation this year, or are punishing yourself to a month’s stay in the library after a very unproductive term, these events on campus will keep you festive and merry.

A Very Postgraduate Christmas, 13th December

Both postgraduates and undergraduates are welcome for music, food and plenty of festive fun. Buy your £2 ticket here and get yourself a mince pie. Don’t forget your ugly Christmas jumpers…

Where? SU Main Atrium

International Students’ Christmas Dinner, 16th December

Whether it’s your first Christmas away from home, or just your first time being on campus during break, the International Christmas Dinner will be a great way to meet some new people. Drinks, a 3 course feast and a Christmas quiz are all promised. Book here.

Where? 2.30-5pm, Arden Conference Centre. 

Christmas Drinks with the Vice Chancellor, 21st December 

All students are welcome for a festive drink.

Where? 3pm in The Oculus. 

Christmas Eve Party, 24th December

Moo Bar are throwing a “Christmoos” Eve party.

Where? Moo Bar from 9pm

Christmas Mass, 25th December 

There will also be Mass each Sunday at 12.30 during the Christmas vacation.

Where? 12.30 at the Chaplaincy.

The Legendary Boxing Day Christmas Jumper Party, 26th December

Smack are here to keep you busy on Boxing Day.

New Year’s Eve Party at Kasbah, 31st December

Fatman Scoop is also performing live.

New Year’s Day Walk, 1st January 

The Chaplaincy are hosting a New Year’s Day breakfast and walk.

Where? From 10.30am at the Chaplaincy. 

Board Game Night In, 5th January

Hosted by “Tea and Tabletop”, there will be lots of games to choose from, and something for everyone.
