The ceiling has collapsed in the Dirty Duck
It may reopen this evening
Josh CohenStudents in need of a beer and a burger were surprised today to find the Dirty Duck had closed its doors, after a small structural issue caused the ceiling to collapse.
It is understood that the building is still safe, although the cleanup operation may cause it to be closed for some time today.
Staff sources suggest that it will be reopened this evening.
The Warwick SU has since posted an update on its page and has warned students that the Dirty Duck will be closed until further notice due to flood damage.
They said: “Sincere apologies for any disappointment or inconvenience caused – we will endeavour to keep everyone updated as to when we are able to reopen!”
