Warwick Library to be open 24 hours

At last

After a many years of campaigning, Warwick has finally agreed to keep the library open for 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The new library hours will begin on Monday 31st October. The University House Learning Grid will also take on new hours, being open from 7am to 10pm.

This move comes after many years of campaigning by Warwick SU, who have argued that Warwick was the only top 10 UK University in England which did not have a 24-Hour Library.

A motion proposed by ex-Postgraduate Officer Andrew Thompson at the 2015 All Student Meeting on this matter received the highest majority in ASM history.

Second year history student Charli Cox commented: “I write most of my essays in the early hours of the morning, now they can be done somewhere other than bed.”
