Warwick named a top ten European destination

It was described as ‘brimming with beauty’

Lonely Planet has named Warwickshire a top 2016 summer destination in Europe.

The county ‘brimming with beauty’ has ranked as number six in the Best in Europe list.

Top attractions include the Warwick Castle, the ruins of Kenilworth Castle and the ‘county’s undisputed claim to fame – Stratford upon Avon the birthplace of William Shakespeare’.

Leamington Spa is also mentioned because of its Pump Rooms, parks and architecture. Finally, Lonely Planet recommends to dine in The Cross, which is a Michelin starred gastro-pub.

They must have accidentally missed out the fact that Smack in Leamington Spa was once named the 7th best club in the world.
