Warwick set to vote on NUS affiliation

An emergency all student meeting will be held

An emergency all student meeting has been announced to take place on the 16th of May at the SU Atrium to consider whether Warwick should be affiliated with the NUS.

This follows after a petition calling for a vote on Warwick SU’s affiliation with the NUS, was submitted to the SU Democracy and Development Officer with the required 2 per cent of student signatures.

The vote will be done online like all the other SU Policy Referendums.

Students will be able to vote ‘yes’, ‘no’ or ‘abstain’ on this matter from 9 am on Tuesday the 17th of May to 12pm on Friday the 20th of May.

In a statement released on the Warwick SU website today, Oliver Rice, the Democracy and Development Officer said: “We encourage all our members to engage thoroughly with the debate and exercise their vote online afterwards.”
