Coventry officially named the least hug-friendly town in the UK
It’s a heartless place
A recent poll by Center Parks has named heartless Coventry as the least huggable city in the UK.
The poll said that Coventry is home to the largest amount of “anti-huggers” anywhere in the country.
According to the survey, six in 10 consider themselves to be very touchy feely – with the average UK person embracing three times a day.
But the average Coventry resident is said to only embrace once a day.
The most huggable town in the country is Aberystwyth, with Aberdeen and Portsmouth completing the top three most huggable places.
Colin Whaley, Sales and Marketing Director at Center Parcs, said: “Hugging fulfils a basic human need – even the least affectionate among us would struggle to feel better after a good hug.”
Clearly Coventry citizens seem to be lacking in emotions.
Simran Kaur Sandhu, second year English Literature student, added: “As a lover of hugs and all things huggable, I can’t say I’ve ever jarred with Coventry.
“It seems a perfectly reasonable city with perfectly reasonable people who, for some unknown reason, dislike hugs.
“In fact, I’ve had some great ‘hugs’ outside Kasbah.”
