Bring your own bottled: Attack outside South Leamington house party leaves two in hospital

Bottled and mugged by locals in an unprovoked attack

A pair of unlucky partygoers were bottled in the head a houseparty after a group of skinhead locals showed up and started causing trouble.

It was 4am when Peter and David decided to leave a Leamington House party last week.

As they exited they were attacked by a group of five locals with bottles and left covered in blood and needing stitches in hospital.

According to the victims and witnesses, the boys did nothing to invite the attack, and nothing happened to warn them that it would happen.

The skinhead attackers were not invited to the reading week party in South Leamington, but with 150 students at the event, they went largely undetected.

Close up of David’s head a week later.

The boys were shaken up by the event, and are still recovering.

Peter said: “They weren’t even invited. The people in the party looked fucking dodgy so we decided to leave.

“But we went back because we realised we had left our friend.”

When they tried to leave again they were started on by the thugs.

Peter added: “They looked like the stereotype of fucking ugly Leamington locals; souped up car and everything.”

According to the victims and the witnesses, the attack was entirely random.

Peter said: “The next people to leave would have been this couple and man. It would have been so much worse for them”.

Still maintaining his sense of humour, Peter said: “The ultimate tragedy is I have to wear my ski jacket around campus now because they took my coat. It’s not a great look”.

Many witnesses saw the aftermath of the attack when Peter and David went back into the house to get water on the cuts.

The house party was held in South Leamington

Second year student Toma Babickaite was one of the people at the party. She said: “I didn’t see the attack, but I was in a room when Peter and David said they were going home. I said I was going to stay and come back a bit later.

“Inside, there were some of the guys that bottled them. They were going around the house trying to cause trouble. I think they then got kicked out of the house and thought I’d start getting ready to go home.

“After a while I walked into the kitchen and just saw Peter and David. Peter had blood on his trousers and blood running down his head. David’s neck was covered in blood.

“They were saying that it was those guys that were kicked out of the house that did it because they were just hanging around outside.”
