Hold onto your Red Stripe: Apparently it’s going to snow in Bristol this week

You’ll need that Canada Goose after all

Having had a mild winter so far, the Met Office have this week issued a severe weather warning for Bristol and the South West.

For Thursday 12th and Friday 13th January the South West has been slapped with a ‘Yellow’ snow warning.

On their website, the Met Office says: “Cold northerly winds will bring occasional snow showers through Thursday and into Friday”.

Although a ‘Yellow’ warning is relatively harmless, disruption to transport in the Bristol area should still be expected over those days.

The Chief Forecaster believes there may be between “2-5cm of snow” across areas of the South West.

Illustrations issued by the Met Office suggest the snow could miss Bristol, but residents should be prepared nonetheless.
