What is love? We asked people at a Marketgate party

Baby don’t hurt me

It’s the end of term, Christmas is finally on the horizon which has been blocked for so long by all of your deadlines. Everything is submitted, you literally could not give a shit about your degree anymore and everybody is up for getting royally pissed.

As December is a time for loving, giving and coming together as one, I decided to ask people “What is the meaning of love?” on the last blowout at Marketgate.

People were way more deep than anticipated.

Fraser, 19 – Oxford

“Not worth it.”

Jess, 19 – Hampshire

“Love is a feeling, it’s the same as feeling angry.”

George, 20 – Manchester

“Someone who amazes you everyday and makes you the happiest person of yourself.”

Eve, 18 – Plymouth

“Love is when two people piss each other about so much that they reach the point of piss but you stay with it because you can’t find anybody else.”

Charlie, 18 – Devon

“Love is when you can eat garlic bread together and not care about the bad breath.”

Nash, 21 – Langport

“Why are you asking me this?”

Joe, 22 – Swansea

“Baby don’t hurt me no more.”

Isaac, 20 – Manchester

“I’m trying to lead myself away from that shit at the moment.”

Mia, 20 – Brighton

“Nobody can answer that.”

Dom, 19 – Plymouth

“Helping the other person be the best version of them self they possibly can.”

Isaac, 18 – Plymouth

“Love is seamless connection between two people where people experience emotions just because the other has felt them.”

Niamh, 19 – Manchester

“I’ve just broken up with my boyfriend so don’t wanna think about it.”

Molly, 19 – Swansea

“Love is nothing.”

Matt, 20 – Brighton

“This song.”

Lewis, 19 – Reading

wuttttt?

“Your life is pre planned you’re just acting it out with your own intentions.”

Elliott, 21 – Wembury

“Everything.”
