UWE beats Oxbridge in latest uni rankings

We finished two places ahead of Cambridge

UWE has come ahead of both Cambridge and Oxford in the latest university rankings published by Whatuni.com.

The rankings, which are based on the comments and reviews of 25,000 students, lists the most popular universities in the UK. UWE finished in a respectable 44th, two places above Cambridge (46th) and six above Oxford (50th).

The universities were judged based on ten factors: accommodation, city life, clubs and societies, student union, job prospects, course and lecturers, facilities, support services and an overall rating.

This year the agricultural college Harper Adams in Shropshire took the top spot from Loughborough.

Other top unis beaten by UWE include Birmingham, Sussex, Warwick, ICL, LSE, UCL, KCL and most importantly the University of Bristol, which placed a measly 77th.
