Brighton and Hove to remain in Tier 2 ahead of Christmas

Bring on the second round of substantial meals

Health secretary, Matt Hancock, recently announced that Brighton and Hove will remain in Tier 2.

Other areas in Sussex county, such as Hastings and Rother, will move into Tier 3.

Despite a sharp rise in Covid-19 cases amongst the city’s residents, the rate has maintained at a low level compared to other Tier 3 areas within the UK.

Rules haven’t changed but just to re-cap: indoor mixing between households is banned, but people from the same households can go together to pubs and restaurants.  Groups of up to six from different households are also allowed meet outdoors, in private or public gardens.
