RuPaul’s UK Drag Race competitor Joe Black reveals he is a Brighton resident

He is the first ever competitor to hail from ‘sunny Brighton’

Brighton is known around the country for its queer inclusive ethos and daring drag shows and, as revealed by BBC Three’s most recent promotional video, a taste of Brighton’s culture is due to be aired on the new season of RuPaul’s UK Drag Race this coming January.

Brighton residents were pleased to see a local face amongst the mix in the form of Drag Queen Joe Black, a 30 year old who proudly stated that he will be the first Brightonian to be included on the show and that he brings “all the eyeshadow and wonky eyebrows of the traditional seaside drag.

“I think I bring something you haven’t seen before, you’ve never had your ghouls covered in rhinestones before and I think a crown would be rather fitting.”

If you’re missing the scandalous shows of Revenge while you’re home for Christmas, you can watch the new series from Thursday the 14th of January 2021 on BBC iPlayer.
