Brighton and Hove are officially in the new Tier 2 and here’s how it affects students

Georgia MooneyBrighton and Hove are set to go into the new Tier 2 category, the government announced today.
Several areas in Sussex, including Brighton and Hove, are at the lower end of the list in Tier 2 with rates of less than 90 new weekly cases per 100,000 population.
Brighton and Hove’s placement in Tier 2 means that the rule of six still applies outdoors, however there must be no mixing of households indoors.
Hospitality venues, such as pubs, are also meant to close unless they are able to serve substantial meals with drinks. Last orders will be called at 10pm so that pubs can shut by 11pm.
Anyone living inside a Tier 2 zone has been requested to avoid travel into Tier 3 areas.
Large events are also allowed, however, audience capacity is limited.
