UPDATED: Latest Coronavirus figures for Brighton and Sussex have been released

The number of staff and students self-isolating has dramatically decreased

As of the 22nd November 2020, just four students on campus and eight students off campus were self-isolating as a result of a positive Coronavirus test result.

This means that the overall number of cases has halved since the 18th of November 2020, and it is over four times lower than at the beginning of this month.

Public Health England has said that Brighton & Hove is in the bottom third of weekly Coronavirus cases overall in England. From November the 12th to November the 19th, there were 300 positive tests reported giving the city a weekly rate of 103.3 cases per 100,000 people.
