‘We are all in this together’: Land Beyond Festival is delayed until 2021

The festival was planned to take place on June 6th and 7th.

Land Beyond Festival has been postponed until Bank Holiday Sunday, May 2nd 2021 due to the current circumstances surrounding the pandemic.

After battling to reschedule for later on this year, the festival regretfully explain on their Facebook events page: “with the additional burden and strain to the NHS and other emergency services this could become irresponsible for us to attempt.”

They promise a revised line up, combining artists from both days of the current line up into a bigger one day festival with 4 stages.

The date chosen is causing concern among Sussex university students as a revision period is scheduled for the week after the festival.

A second year student from The University of Sussex exclusively told The Sussex: “going into 3rd year it’s not an ideal time as the revision period starts after that week.

“I’m planning on getting a refund as I don’t know what my schedule will be this time next year and going into 3rd year, the exams are a lot more weighted towards my final grade.”

Some students are planning to keep their tickets and sell them closer to the time when tickets become harder to buy.

Current day ticket holders for either day will be able to scan their ticket at the gate and gain admission for the new date. Weekend ticket holders will also be allowed entrance with their current ticket, and will also receive a £20 drink token on entry.
