Brighton Marathon has been postponed to avoid coronavirus spread

The event is now due to take place in September 2020


The annual Brighton marathon which was due to take place on Sunday the 19th April has been postponed by its organisers to align with new advice to avoid mass social gatherings.

It will now take place from the 18th – 20th of September and all original entries will still be valid. It also gives extra time for fundraising opportunities to take place.

The director of the event Tom Naylor released a statement saying that “it is a decision that has not been taken lightly by our team or our colleagues in the running events industry … we apologise profusely to anyone affected by this postponement.”

“We ask for your support and understanding while we work towards this new date and take on the logistical issues and challenges this creates.”
