26-year-old man dies after falling from The Grand hotel in Brighton

He died after falling from the upper floor of the hotel


The incident took place yesterday evening as ambulance and police services were called to the scene.

Unfortunately the man was taken to hospital and was unable to be saved.

A spokesperson from the Sussex police has stated: “We were called to The Grand hotel in King’s Road, Brighton, just before 11:30pm.”

They went on to report that they "responded to reports of someone having fallen from an upper floor of the hotel."

Police have informed that “a 26-year-old man was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital. But he was sadly pronounced dead.

“There were no suspicious circumstances.

“The coroner’s office has been informed and they are continuing enquiries.”

Andrew Mosley, General Manager of The Grand hotel, said “We were saddened to understand that a guest passed away on the property on Monday evening. Our thoughts are with his friends and family at this difficult time.”
