Brighton’s pub The Globe is set to close its doors for the last time this Saturday

The pub was taken over by Cease and Desist last July

Owner, Jake Goldstein, announced on social media that he will be closing down the pub for good on Saturday 16th November.

He planned to name it the "Les Dennis Lounge" to show his appreciation for the famous TV presenter however his idol turned down the offer to have the pub named after him.

Jake stated that "The most important thing to us is just a big thank you. Firstly, to our team who are literally the only thing that really matters about Cease and Desist, or any bar really. You guys have been incredible."

He went on to thank the regulars saying that "This would not have been possible without every single one of you. Every piece of graffiti, every random item donated to the walls and every time we saw a mischievous smile on someone's face, it meant the world to us and all made it worth it."

They open their doors for the last time tomorrow at 6pm to say a final farewell to their regulars.
