There’s going to be a drag graduation event in Brighton this summer

Sooooooo Brighton

| UPDATED

On Thursday the 1st of August, Patterns will be hosting the UK's first drag graduation themed event, dubbed "draguation".

Set up by Sussex's very own DragSoc – the UK's first ever Drag Society – the event promises to be an "all inclusive event, complete with a pool party, fancy dress, drag performers, dancers, cabaret, and loads of glitter."

Performers will include host for the evening and drag superstar FRUIT, new Drag Society president Prince of Persia, Queerlesque and parody singer Olive Hooters, dancer and Youtube sensation Kelsey Ellison, as well as resident DJ and founder of Gal Pal’s Jumeau.

The "draguates" of the evening will be voted by a panel of "Drags Den" judges, who will be handing out very special graduate mortarboard caps.

The event promises to be a regular event running throughout the year. It just doesn't get more Brighton than that.

Tickets can be purchased here.
