The beloved shop, hidden away in the Lanes, has now closed

After 25 years of trading and making glorious chocolates, the infamous chocolatiers has closed.

According to Brighton and Hove News, the shop had a large celebrity clientele – including Whoopi Goldberg, Richard Branson, Alice Cooper, and Boy George.

Speaking to Brighton and Hove News, David Hawkins from The Lanes Armoury opposite Choccywoccydoodah said: “With any tourist thing, the challenge is turning that into cash.

"You might get thousands of people looking but not necessarily wanting to buy a premium bar of chocolate or a cake for hundreds of pounds."

Fans of the now-closed shop have taken to Twitter to voice their heartbreak.

Although one local seemed less bothered by the shops closure:

Brighton’s staple chocolate shop will definitely be missed!
