How to boss Mother’s Day in Brighton
Of course you haven’t forgotten
We all love our Mums, and although some may have forgotten Mother’s Day was coming so soon – it’s definitely not too late to show your Mum some love this Sunday.
Whether it’s just you and Mum having some TLC time together, or you’re looking for something a bit more exciting – there are some great things going on to keep her happy.
Sunday Lunch
Why not treat Mum to a classic Sunday dinner, that she doesn’t have to cook? You can get a set two course menu for £19 at The Walrus, with all mums receiving complimentary prosecco and chocolate. They’ve even got a roof garden outside to go and have a drink after. But tables are booking fast.
Or head down to Orsino’s Italian Restaurant in Hove, where you can get a less traditional Sunday Lunch, but you’ll still find a free Bellini for all Mums. As well as exploring Hove, which is seriously underrated by most visitors.
Sewing Class
If your looking for something a bit more creative to do with your Mum, then the Absolute Beginner’s Sewing Class could be something fun for you and your Mum. Learn those all-important skills your Mum always tells you that you need to know, as well as walking away with a handmade phone or glasses case.
Classes cost £15, with all supplies included. So if you’re into your crafts, or fancy trying it out, it’s a great way to spend some quality time with your Mum.
Boozy Bingo Brunch
If you’re looking to celebrate the whole of Mother’s Day weekend with fun and finesse, why not take your Mum to a Bottomless Bingo Brunch. On Saturday 10th March, doors open at noon for over 90 minutes of bottomless Prosecco, cocktails and, of course, bingo!
Although it comes at the cost of £38, the event comes equipped with a full 4 course meal suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Meaning you’ll get a happy level of tipsy with Mum, as oppose your full on shitfaced Friday nights. Creating some high time sophistication for you both.
The Level Market
If you’re looking for something a bit more relaxed, head to The Level’s monthly market. In the centre of town, the Market is full of amazing local food, wine and art – what more could Mum ask for!
With many food stalls and crafters coming to show off their work, it’s also the perfect place to buy a special Mother’s day gift whilst enjoying some great street food.
Something Quirky
If a good laugh is what you’re looking for, then stay for the Krater Comedy Club performance at 8pm. The award-winning comedy consists of 4 stand up comedians and MC Stephan Grant. With tickets starting from £5, you can feel happy spending a little and still having some hilarious quality time with your Mum.
So, it’s definitely not too late to give your Mum the day she deserves as well as having some much-needed Mum-time.
