You could represent Sussex on University Challenge
Let’s have an answer, please
Next month Sussex Students' Union are holding trials to find four bright sparks to go on University Challenge . If you think you've got some knowledge in the bank, now's your opportunity to show it off.
Trials are being held on November 1st in Falmer House's debating chamber from 13:30 to 16:30. You can pick your time slot here, and remember to bring your Sussex ID.
Sussex's history with the competition has been a mixed bag; currently on par with the likes of Imperial College London and Durham with a total of two wins, Sussex are also famous for achieving the lowest score in history back in 1971 when the team scored a tragic ten points.
Failing to make the first round of the 2016 series, Sussex last appeared in the televised rounds in 2015 against Queen's University Belfast. Sadly, a superb knowledge of carbohydrates wasn't enough to get Sussex in the lead against the all-male Belfast team and they were beaten by 70 points.
Hopefully with your help, University Challenge 2017 will be a success for Sussex.
