Steve Coogan will turn on Brighton Christmas lights

It has been revealed that the Christmas lights will be officially turned on in Brighton on Wednesday by Steve Coogan.

Steve Coogan, Brighton based impressionist, writer, producer, stand-up comedian and actor will do the honours. Steve Coogan is known for playing fictional TV and radio presenter Alan Partridge.

The event will be held on East Street with plenty of activities to take part in.

As well as this, Phats and Small, a Brighton DJ duo, will be on stage performing.

The event is organised for supporting all local businesses on Preston Street, North Street, Western Road, The North Laine and parts of both The Lanes.

Last year, YouTube musician and local, Hobbie Stuart, turned on the Christmas lights.
