Sussex extends deadlines after technology failure

All deadlines for this week have been extended to Monday


Students have been unable to access the main Sussex websites, Eduroam, and emails for two days. Sussex admin revealed today that deadlines have been extended due to the disruption of the events.

The problems with Eduroam and emails were resolved yesterday, but there are still issues with logging on to SussexDirect and Study Direct and there has been an outcry from students who are unable to complete assignments and revision due to the issues.

Fortunately for us, Internal Comms sent an email around this afternoon saying that due to the IT issues all deadlines from the 24th-27th October have been extended until Monday 31st October as students have been unable to access vital material required to complete assessments. Hand in times remain the same as the time on the original date.

IT Services are still working on the issues which should hopefully be resolved by tomorrow.

In the meantime, progress updates are being logged on the IT Services Facebook and Twitter accounts.
