Oktoberfest comes to Brighton

Strap on your lederhosen

On October 13th to 15th, Oktoberfest will be coming to Brighton Racecourse for a night of Stein drinking, German food eating, and Oompah band dancing.

The most important date in Germany’s cultural calendar arrives in Brighton this year for the very first time.

The Bavarian style festival will showcase some of the best and authentic Oompah bands from around the world across all three sessions, plus a large selection of traditional German foods and huge steins.

The Munich folk festival is traditionally known for beer, roast chicken, pretzels, spit-roasts, and sausages.

Usually held for 16 days in Germany, Brighton will play host to the festival over the weekend.

Starting from 7pm to midnight, Brighton Racecourse will be transformed into a huge German beer hall made up of long tables, traditional decoration, beer steins, and of course, lots and lots of people dressing up.
