The i360 has ruined Brighton

It’s so ugly

Ever since the phallic-looking structure was made erect, it has caused serious repulsion amongst many Brightonians. Not only has the council ruined our beautiful horizons of Brighton seafront by sticking what can only be described as a massive grey pole right in front of it, but are also charging people extortionate prices to go on it, only for them to be inside the testicular-looking pod for hours.

I don’t know about you, but I couldn’t think of anything worse.

You ain’t got no alibi, you ugly.

Three separate technical problems in the space of five days have left passengers trapped inside the pod for an overwhelmingly long time. One incident left 180 paying visitors – including a heavily pregnant woman – stuck in mid air for two whole hours with no proper toilet facilities. This was also followed by another technical hitch on Sunday leaving around 200 people stuck at ground level.

Following the opening of the i360, Brighton’s beloved Brighton wheel was taken down. Despite the wheel being a bit of a crappy ride, it added a cute silhouette alongside the bright lights of the pier at night. The i360, however, does not exactly have this same effect.

Miss you x

Brighton is and always has been famous for its seafront. The bars and restaurants which outline the beach and the vibrant atmosphere is what makes it so attractive for the thousands of tourists which travel down every year. However, with the recent addition of this pole, this so-called attraction has left Brighton’s seafront in a rather unattractive state. We don’t want Brighton’s colourful scenery to now be forever darkened by this grey and overwhelmingly large construction which, most importantly, doesn’t even operate properly.

It seems that the i360 has not only angered Brightonians for being built, but now is even frustrating the tourists attempting to ride it. When we conducted our own research, we found a lot of people were pretty cheesed off over this ghastly mess.

i360, you were doomed from the start. Accept your fate and dismantle your ugly infrastructure so we can have our seafront back!
