Bramber house falls victim to attempted smash and grab

Police are looking for witnesses


Bramber house was broken into at around midnight on 24 June where the burglars used a Jeep to crash through the doors.

Police attended the scene at around 12.38am and found a abandoned Jeep Cherokee that was still running parked facing away the doors.

The car was reported stolen from Keymer Avenue on 23 June and had its registration plates removed. The doors and cash machines were both damaged in the break in however police reports claim that nothing appear to have been stolen.

Police are calling for witnesses. Police believe this is the work of 5 men who were dressed in dark clothing and speaking a foreign language. They had fled the scene in a red volvo before police arrived.

The University has been approached for comment.
