Brighton is the Jedi capital of the UK

May the force be with us

There are almost as many Jedi Knights in England and Wales as there are Buddhists, and Brighton is the place to be if you are an up and coming holder of the force.

A whole 1 per cent of the population of Brighton and Hove identify as Jedi Knights, according to The Mirror.

Second year Amy Lovelidge said: “If people want to be Jedis, may the force be with them.”

Not everyone is convinced, though. Abbie Betts said: “I guess there are no rules on what can and can’t be classed as a religion, but as a Christian, I’d have a hard time accepting someone as a ‘Jedi'”.

Brighton is also one of the top 3 places in England and Wales to find the Godless. Oxford and Cambridge are also teeming with Atheists and Agnostics.

Why? Studies have shown that people with higher IQs are less likely to believe in hell, and that members of the LGBTQIA+ community are less likely to be religious than their heterosexual counterparts.

Mid Sussex is also home to the densest Scientologist population in England and Wales – presumably due to the Scientological headquarters in East Grinstead.
