Imperial is the seventh best uni in the UK
We’re the highest-ranked London university in the Guardian league table
Bobby PalmerImperial has been ranked the eighth best university in the UK.
In the Guardian university league tables published today, we beat the likes of UCL and LSE to be the highest-ranked London university.
Imperial was also ranked first in the country for Earth & Marine Sciences and Civil Engineering.
Cambridge and Oxford took the top spots, although we were also beaten by the likes of Durham, Surrey and Loughborough.
The ranking marks a one point increase on last year’s eighth place.
Rounding out the top 10 were Lancaster, Warwick and Bath.
LSE came in at 12th, while UCL was relegated to a lowly 14th.
It could have been worse though – King’s placed an eye-watering 42nd.
