The top universities for each subject

How well has your uni done?

London universities and Oxbridge have dominated the world rankings yet again.

So, it seems that the usual suspects come out on top here with Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, LSE and Imperial preoccupying the space in the top half of the tables.

Also doing well are Manchester and Edinburgh. Both consistently place in the top 10 and appear to be closing the gap between the best and the rest.

Here’s how the top 10 universities were ranked for the five main faculties:

The primary aim of the QS World University Rankings is to help students make informed decisions on their choice of university course.

The rankings are based on six performance indicators that combine a consideration of ‘hard data’ and global surveys to address the following factors: academic reputation, employer reputation, student to faculty ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio and international student ratio.
