Which subjects work the hardest?

Now Medics have another excuse to complain

Medics and Dentists can now officially boast they work harder than anyone else.

After all their moaning, they are the hardest working degree – averaging 34 hours of contact and independent study a week.

According to the Higher Education Policy Institute, Medicine and Dentistry courses are the most demanding having 19 weekly contact hours with 15 hours of private study stacked on top.

Vets come in second with 17 weekly contact hours, followed by Physical Sciences and Engineering.

History and Philosophy students have it easy, only putting in 8 contact hours weekly.
