Revealed: The hardest universities to get into

No prizes for guessing

Unsurprisingly, Oxbridge have the highest entry requirements in the UK.

According to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), Cambridge’s entry requirements are the toughest to achieve with an average of 601 UCAS points equivalent to a brutal four A* A-levels and an extra AS.

Cambridge is followed closely behind by Oxford with an average 571 UCAS points required.

Bottom of the pile is Chester, where you only need the equivalent of three B grade A-levels.

One A-Level B grade is worth 100 UCAS points, whereas an A grade at A-level is worth 120 UCAS points.
