Out of the baggie: Third year reveals stunning pill collection

Stamps, rare toys, figurines, model cars, Beanie Babies and Pokemon are all obsessively collected by enthusiasts. Oh, and ecstasy.

Nobody loves an eccie more than this Glaswegian aficionado, who shared his multicoloured collection exclusively with The Tab.

The Strathy third year gathered the potent Pick ‘n’ Mix of pingers over the past three years, amassing 26 in total.

Astonishingly, he didn’t want to be named, but said when he deals he sometimes uses the name Sean Hodge.

Hodge said: “I started taking ecstasy when I came to university. Every time there was a new batch going around I would always buy an extra one to keep and see if I could grow a collection.”

“Once I got five or so, there were already two that had been discontinued, so no one else had them and I thought that was pretty cool, so I just kept going.”

“The best one I’ve taken was definitely the Lemon, it was insane. You can only take it in halves though cause it’s so thick. The UPS are going about just now and they’re shit-hot as well.”

He went on: “I actually had five different kinds more than this, but emergencies on certain nights meant I ended up having to give one to my friends, or take it myself if there was supply issues.”

Hodge plans on collecting them even after he’s stopped taking them. “I think they’ll be worth a lot one day,” he says.

If he sold them for the standard £10 each, he’d now have £260, so at a specialist auction you never know.

Are there any he regrets not collecting?

“There were apparently ‘Yes’ pills going around at the referendum. I never got one, but wish I had. I’d give one to every Tory if I could get a batch, just to see if they could be a laugh for one night at least.”
