Three people managed to escape from a bus after it burst into flames at the Stirling Uni campus.

Two passengers and the driver exited the bus unhurt after it burst into flames around 10am, Thursday.

And a spokeswoman for First Bluebird said: “Incidents like this are rare and we are currently investigating what happened.”

The fire was completely extinguished by 10.12am by firefighters, but not before it had completely engulfed the front of the bus, leaving the vehicle wrecked.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police in Stirling were called to Beta Centre Innovation Park, at Causewayhead, at 10am on February 19, after reports that a bus was on fire.

“Nobody was injured and there are no suspicious circumstances.”
