What do Stirling locals really think of you?

You’re all angels apparently

| UPDATED angels locals opinion stirling students town

Have you ever been curious to know what the people of Stirling think of students?

We asked some locals how they really felt about the city swarming with young folk. Turns out we’re not so bad after all.

Leanne Ramsay, 30

You’re invited to all our future parties Leanne!

“They’re actually really great, they bring a bit of buzz and youthfulness to the city and add a new dimension to the night life which is good! I don’t think you guys are too noisy at all, I’m quite noisy myself!”

Alasdair McLeod, 60

Must start going to church

“I have no bad stories at all! I definitely think they add a different dimension to the city and they’re all really lovely.”

Sally Chambers, 57

You should have moved here years ago Sally

“One of the reasons me and my husband decided to stay here was because of the friendly people, I think the students are great and just blend in with everybody else and go about their business.”

“When students come from all over they bring their own sense of identity and greatly improve things; it stops things from stagnating.”

Diane Morrison

Stirling Uni looks forward to meeting your girls Diane

“The students are great, and great for the economy. I hope my daughters in fourth year of school will go to Stirling in a few years. I like the fact they’ll get to learn all different cultures, the uni is great for everyone really!”

Margaret Mckay

Let’s hope we do just as good as them Margaret

“I think the kids in Stirling in great, they all seem really friendly. If they do as well as my grandchildren do, they’ll go far in the world”

Michael Giannandrea

We know you had a good time at university too, Michael!

“The majority are good and are very studious but they certainly know how to have a good time, to experiment and learn about life.

“I guess that’s what university is all about. However, having worked there I know some students go without really knowing why they’re there and don’t have the capability to do what they’re expected to do.”

Alison Moore, 36

Maybe it was her cute son that won us over

“They keep the city ticking, it would be a much duller place without them.”

We agree, Alison, we agree.
