Another storm set to hit St Andrews tomorrow

We’re so used to them we probably won’t notice

A storm is set to hit St Andrews this weekend. As of tomorrow, we’ll be meeting storm Gertrude.

On Friday and Saturday, the Met Office has issued Amber Warnings for Scotland and many parts of the rest of the UK, warning us to be prepared for heavy rain, wind, ice and snow.

Last year Storm Desmond made it’s mark across the country, covering the news for days as it left Northern England in a flooded mess, and now it’s Gertrude’s turn.

Just your average, wet day in St Andrews

As storm Gertrude rolls by, we should all keep our wits about us, check in with our family and friends across the UK to see how the flooding is doing at their end – even if we’re used to waking up opening the curtains to find the trees outside lying horizontally because they’re being blown sideways.
