Krispy Kreme comes to Tesco
DOUGHNUTS. That is all.
Cravings of St Andrews students will be satisfied because as of late, Tesco has signed a deal with Krispy Kreme to have their doughnuts delivered the store every day.
Krispy Kreme is a hugely successful American company. Famous for its ‘original glazed’ donuts, it is greatly missed by many students here in St Andrews, especially Americans. A variety of flavours will be sold at Tesco, both in boxes and singularly. According to first year Neuroscience student Danielle Donnally, from Washington D.C., Krispy Kreme doughnuts will be a great asset to the town. “I go into Tesco all the time and want a doughnut but the Tesco ones don’t look very appetizing. Krispy Kreme makes me think of home,” Danielle said.
“They have been very successful,” the Tesco store manager said. “People have been coming in and buying them in boxes. I don’t know if its because they are new or because of the brand name.” But how long can the success of the Krispy Kreme doughnuts be expected to last? “Ask me in a week,” the store manager laughed.
