Medical student Manvir Singh disappears

Missing medic.

Third year medical student, Manvir Singh, has disappeared. He was last seen in St Andrews on the 19th of March, after traveling by bus from Glasgow.

His parents have issued an emotional appeal to Singh, encouraging him to contact them and let them know that he is safe. Harpal Singh, Manvir’s father, said that ‘All we want to know is he’s all right.’ His mother, Kirandeep, added, ‘We miss you so much, you are not in any trouble. Please, please, do call us to let us know you’re okay.’

Singh is believed to have been visiting friends in St Andrews. He was last seen on Bridge Street and Argyle Street, at about 9pm on the 19th of March.

There is no evidence to suggest that Singh is suffering from any sort of depression. There are also no signs on his computer or mobile as to why he has disappeared or where he has gone. Police believe he had around £200 in cash on him. He has not withdrawn money since he has disappeared. Superintendant Thom McGloughlin describes Manvir’s disappearance as ‘totally out of character’. He was an ‘average 21 year old’ who was ‘active, interested, very intelligent and training to be a doctor’.

Police are urging anyone who knows anything to come forward.
