The Stand meets The Tab!

A new chapter in the life of The Stand…

| UPDATED

Do not worry – Stand + Tab does NOT mean that we are set to be, The Stab.

The Stand has progressed from its infantile youth to its turbulent adolescence, and now it is ready to embark into adulthood. Merging with The Tab offers many more resources, greater outreach and a better infrastructure to maximise our student body’s literary talent.

The Tab was conceived in Cambridge as a student publication but now it is a limited company featured in 24 UK universities.

This is an exciting time for us here at The Stand – we have a new website, several new team members and constantly are on the lookout for new writers. This collaboration is a breath of fresh air for St Andrews’ most read (and, we hope, most loved) student publication.

Our independent, St Andrews-centric focus will not change. We want to be the best we can be, in order to serve YOU. Collaboration with The Tab gives us the ability to fulfill our potential. Despite having partners, The Stand retains its identity and autonomy.

We are looking to recruit new committee positions, including: editorial and deputy editorial roles. Relevant updates and job descriptions will be posted on our website in the coming days. Most importantly, we are placing an emphasis on increasing access for writers to participate, get stuck in and write for The Stand. Have your voice heard.

We always want to hear from you. Any comments, concerns or queries, please email us at: [email protected]
