The Lumsden Club and your600th are collaborating in a special Valentine’s Day effort guaranteed to please the pants off your beloved.
The ladies of Lumsden will be taking delivery orders for “secret roses”, as well as other Valentine’s packages, outside of the Union onMonday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week. But as of 12pm today, you may also make purchases online, if proclaiming your heart’s desire in front of the Union isn’t your style. The single rose costs £3 but there are a range of gift bags at different prices, all containing I-like-you-themed goodies. Proceeds from the gifts will go to Parkinson’s UK Fife branch, Afghan Connection and the your600th bursaries, so it’s not just a gift fo yo lova!
These will then be delivered to your guy’s/gal’s address on the morning of Valentine’s Day by the Lumsden Cupids, while Student President Freddie Fforde and his crew of your600th marathon runners will also be hurrying around town, stacked with chocolate/flower deliveries. Keep your eyes peeled for them running past on the day – you never know, they might be looking for you…
Jessica Topping of Lumsden said on the collaboration: “We really wanted to get more involved with the university, hosting a Freshers’ event together with your600th at the beginning of last semester and now working with them on the Valentines project this semester.”
If no one fitting jumps to mind to send a rose to, your600th has it covered, with a Black Hearts Valentine’s auction at 7pm on the big day. Also featuring performances from the likes of The Other Guys, Blind Mirth and a jazz band, the auction will have great things on offer including a singing lesson with Other Guy, Mark Gregory, a mixology lesson with a cocktail afficianado, and even lunch with Fforde himself (!!!!!!!!!)
The Lumsden Club is also hosting a Valentine’s Party at Ma Bells later on that night, so you can party the night away with your auctioneered date.
