The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby, St James’ Palace has announced.

Members of the royal family and the Middletons are said to be delighted. As, of course, is the entire population of St Andrews!

For the most high profile couple to ever emerge from the match-making centre of Europe, the new arrival will be a very welcome addition (and just imagine Prince Harry as the bad-ass uncle!)

Thanks to a ruling in May, whether a boy or a girl, the royal bubby will be born third in line to the throne and Britain’s future monarch. Expect bets on gender to emerge shortly.

A spokesman said the duchess has been admitted to King Edward VII Hospital in central London for acute morning sickness and is expected to stay for several days. Though, The Stand is sure it’s nothing like what she experienced over Raisin weekend.

If the little royal chooses to follow the footsteps of his/her parents, the future King or Queen could decide to join the ranks of us mere mortals. Who knows, St Andrews may end up with a lasting tradition of royal graduates, marriages, babies.
