In celebration of St Andrews day, Tennent’s is running a promotion this Friday in bars throughout Scotland for their limited edition glass, including our very own Union Bar! Yipee!

Scottish stand up comedian Phil Kay narrates the Tennent’s Toast to Scotland in a video titled ‘Scotland to a T’. The video, which is an ode to everything from the food to the landscape of Scotland begins, “I raise a glass to Scotland. To the place where “How?” means “Why?”

Tennent Caledonian Breweries, established 1556, is headquartered in Glasgow. The company is best known for their best-selling Tennent’s Lager, which accounts for 60% of the lager market in Scotland.

Saint Andrew, who was the patron saint of Scotland and lived in the first century, is celebrated on November 30th. The university oh-so-graciously gives the day off from lectures and tutorials (so clearly it’s more significant than nursing a hangover on Raisin Monday or having a week off in the middle of a three month semester). So, come Friday, there will be plenty of time to “raise your limited edition glass on St Andrews’s Day in participating bars”.
