Ever wanted to break an international news story and/or try your hand at investigative journalism?
Deputy News Editor:
The Deputy News Editor is responsible for assisting the News Editor, Parker Burns, and the rest of the team with acquiring and editing content for the news section, corresponding with writers and photographers, developing story ideas, and posting material.
Reporter:
Do you have a nose for a story and your ear to the ground? Does any other part of your anatomy have an interest in the news? If so, we need you. The ability to write stories at short notice is imperative.
Investigative Journalist:
Strong communication and research skills are important. A lot of phone calls and emails are involved in this job, but it is very rewarding.

Please include in your application:
- What your year of study will be for 2012/2013
- A cover letter telling us why you want to work for The Stand, why you’re qualified for the job, and any relevant experience you’ve had
- Any new ideas you would bring with you to The Stand
- Any other activities/time commitments you may have
- Anything else you think we ought to see/know about you (e.g. writing samples, baby pictures, life stories, etc.)
