After much anticipation the initial lineup for the St Andrews Music Festival* has been announced! On the weekend of 14th and 15th of April, Eye o’ the Dug will be coming to our favourite town. St Andrews will play host to KT Tunstall, Hot Chip DJ’s, Django Django, and many more.

Tickets for the weekend are £35 for students, and the first batch go on sale at 2pm on Wed 29th of Feb outside the Union. It will take place Saturday evening and will continue all day Sunday. This means that there will be something to do besides dance the night away at the Lizard and eat Empire. Shocking, we know.

This event is brought to us by Johnny Lynch (The Pictish Trail) and Kenny Anderson (King Creosote) in association with Fence Records – Eye o’ the Dug will join their slew of other successful Scottish music festivals. The festival has been getting all sorts of attention, with an article in The Scotsman this week, and a big forthcoming feature in Scotland on Sunday next month. There’s also been talk of potential involvement from Dazed and Confused, Radio 1 legend Vic Galloway and others . . .

With spring right around the corner and music in the air it’s looking to be a good weekend.

Rollo Strickland, Student’s Association Director of Events and Services, simply said, “It’s going to be bigger than Godzilla’s balls.”

The lineup includes:

KING CREOSOTE & JON HOPKINS

KT TUNSTALL

HOT CHIP: Alexis + Joe DJ set, plus stripped back live set

DJANGO DJANGO

THE PICTISH TRAIL

FRANÇOIS & THE ATLAS MOUNTAINS

WITHERED HAND

CONQUERING ANIMAL SOUND

R.M. HUBBERT

More to be announced!
