Soton Uni rises five places in the national league tables

The University of Southampton is now ranked joint 15th nationally, up five places, according to the Sunday Times Good University Guide.

The updated rankings were published reflecting the university’s improvements over the course of the year. The ranking process considers teaching quality, student experience, graduate prospects, and completion rate, all based on various surveys.

Southampton is ranked 15th on the national league tables, joint with the University of Leeds.

Stats taken from the official ranking table show that Southampton has been valued with 79 per cent teaching quality and 78.8 per cent student experience based on national student surveys. Graduate prospects for high-skilled jobs or graduate-level study are also at a high of 81.6 per cent. The current completion rate at the uni is 92 per cent.

The university is delighted to have climbed up by five places on the Good University Guide since last year. This is the third consecutive UK university league table improvement of the uni’s overall ranking this year which is down to the “dedication of the hard work of our staff and students who make Southampton an excellent place to study”.

Following the good news, the university will “continually aim to improve our education, research and enterprise activities so that our students have the best environment for launching their future careers”.
