Seven sex offenders missing in Hampshire

Figures released by Sky News

Sky News submitted Freedom of Information requests to the UK's police forces and found that 485 sex offenders are missing Britain, seven of which are missing from Hampshire.

Amoung the sex offenders are those who have commited rape, sexual assault and sexual abuse of children.

This information calls to question whether sex offenders, such as the black cab rapist John Worboys should really be released after less than a decade behind bars. It seems too easy for them to slip through the net once they have been released from prison.

Duncan Craig, who after being a victim of sexual abuse set up the charity Survivors Manchester, said: "Victims deserve the right to know that those that have committed these crimes against them are being dealt with correctly and managed properly."
