The infamous strike days are fast approaching, and whether you’re for or against your lecturers manning the picket line, when you realise the amount of deadlines you have, the novelty of 14 free days has probably worn off.

The petition proposes that each student should receive £300 in compensation for the strike action that will take place, and claims “while the majority of us support the strike action being undertaken by the universities staff we do not believe that it is fair that students should lose out on 14 days worth of contact time with no recompense”.

The petition is aimed at Vice-Chancellor Christopher Snowden and the university management.

Strike action will take place on the following dates: Feb 22, 23, 26, 27, 28 and Mar 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16

A cheeky £300 for a couple of quick clicks…bit of a no-brainer!
