Snowfall forecast in Southampton
Temperatures predicted to plummet
Storm Carolina has swept into the UK and caused serious disruptions in the North and Scotland, including travel disruption, school closures and 4,000 people without power. Whilst Southampton is meant to miss the worst of Storm Caronlina, the Met Office and BBC have forecast light snow to fall at about 5pm on Friday.
The Met Office weather for the UK on Friday predicts: "It will be a cold and frosty, but sunny start to the day. It will remain cold with strong winds and a few snow showers, especially in the northwest. Maximum temperature 5C."
