Cecile HemmingFor those of you who live on Westridge road, I am afraid you will no longer be able to say 'just behind Costa' when people ask where you live. Portswood's favourite white girl's coffee shop is closing after a long, after a happy six years.
Although the signs in the shop's windows warn customers of it's closing, it does not give a specific date, which is believed to be the end of October.
Despite fierce competition amongst Portswood's coffee shops for who sells the ultimate cappuccino, it is thought that the reason for the closing is lease issues, rather than not enough business.
Costa have made no comment on the matter.
